Menu Design with Frame Names

Animate and Name a Frame

Create an entrance tween with a stop action on the last keyframe. You DO NOT have to copy this project exactly. You may choose to have photographs fade in, or flowers grow, or whatever your heart desires.

Now we can name the frame where the triangle animation starts. Instead of referring to Frame Number 1... we can use a reference that won't ever change: the name triangle. If we move the timeline at some point (or add or remove frames), we won't have to determine what frame number the triangle animation begins on... it will always begin on the triangle frame name. Here is how you do it:

  1. Select the first keyframe in the animation sequence.
  2. Type in a SIMPLE descriptive name in the Frame Properties box and hit ENTER (Again, I'm using triangle)
  3. You will see a flag icon appear in the keyframe, along with the new frame name
