Preformat Tag

The preformat tag instructs your web browser to display the text exactly as typed in the HTML document, including spaces, tabs, and carriage returns. Check out this poem by EE Cummings, using the <pre>...</pre> tags:

Buffalo Bill's
defunct
        who used to
        ride a watersmooth-silver
                                  stallion
and break onetwothreefourfive pigeonsjustlikethat
                                                  Jesus

he was a handsome man
and what i want to know is
how do you like your blueeyed boy
Mister Death

Without the <pre> and </pre> tags, the same HTML produce:

Buffalo Bill's defunct who used to ride a watersmooth-silver stallion and break onetwothreefourfive pigeonsjustlikethat Jesus he was a handsome man and what i want to know is how do you like your blueeyed boy Mister Death

As you can see, the preformatted text is rather small. It's going to be easier to read if you can change the font size, which you will learn to do on the next page
