Preformat Tag
The preformat tag instructs your web browser to display the text exactly as typed in the HTML document, including spaces, tabs, and carriage returns. Check out this poem by EE Cummings, using the <pre>...</pre> tags:
Buffalo Bill's defunct who used to ride a watersmooth-silver stallion and break onetwothreefourfive pigeonsjustlikethat Jesus he was a handsome man and what i want to know is how do you like your blueeyed boy Mister Death
Without the <pre> and </pre> tags, the same HTML produce:

As you can see, the preformatted text is rather small. It's going to be easier to read if you can change the font size, which you will learn to do on the next page
