Flash And Bitmaps

Although Flash is a vector-based drawing program, it is possible to import and animate bitmap images. You will find that Flash is VERY limited when it comes to actually manipulating the image. You will not be able to change contrast, erase, or crop images, so use Photoshop first if you need to complete those tasks.

In order to stay properly organized, save the bitmap you are going to work with in the same folder as the current Flash project. Do not simply save it to the desktop or some other inappropriate spot - you will most certainly want the raw image in the future and you will NOT be able to pull it back out of the Flash. Stay Organized!

If you don't already have an image of your own you would like to use for this project, use go online and steal someone else's digital photograph:

Using a Internet Explore, Right-Click on the image and choose Save Picture As

Note: This is a photo I took in August 2002 in London, England using an Olympus digital camera.
